Which of the following is most likely best to use out of the following as our viable alternative energies?

Question:

Synfuels, passive and active solar heating, photovoltaic solar cells, biomass, hydrogen fuel cells, wind energy, hydropower, geothermal energy, geothermal heat pumps, ocean power

What are the pros and cons of wind power as an alternative source of energy?

Question:

Which Alternative energy sources are not affected by the sun?

Question:

Which alternative energy sources are not affected by the sun out of
Solar energy
Wind energy
Hydropower
Biomass
Hydrogen
Geothermal
?

What is your opinion on the best alternative energy source?

Question:

Energy Sources:
Nuclear, Wind, Solar, Biomass, Geothermal and Hydropower Energy.

I heard that the U.S. is behind on advancing in “Going Green” with using alternative means of resources.

Question:

Is this true? for example Germany has taken steps such as using solar panels throughout their country. Why haven’t we taken any initiative towards the matter of saving our precious natural resouces that are only so infinite?

Where are alternative energy sources most suited?

Question:

Could someone please tell me what are the best places to have solar panels, hydropower plants, and geothermal power plants. This is for a school project so i need CORRECT sources. Yeah, obviously i know it needs to be sunny to have solar panels but i need a source that says that so please answer quickly as i am currently in the middle of class! THANK YOU!

The Hathaway’s Solar House: Alternative to Dominion Power

Energy expert Alden Hathaway and his wife Carol live in a solar powered house in Londoun County near Hillsboro,Virginia. If one in every four houses in Virginia were solar powered, our power needs would be cut in half.

Has climate change, global warming and alternative energy made old dirty forms of power production obsolete?

Question:

Especially when one takes into consideration these facts: the costs of cleaning up after the natural disastors they help cause, if they can even be cleaned up quickly and succesfully, (see the katrina clean up, then imagine one or two of those every year) can be prevented by in part not using them. The fact that new green clean power gets cheaper every day and coal, oil and other non-renewable energy sources get more scarce every day and are many times located in hostile areas. The fact that there would be great loss of life and habitable area and expense involved in nuclear power accidents or terror attacks. The fact that damage to the environment and the current mass extinction of species is caused by them from the climate change they help cause. And the most critical fact, the disruptions to the global food supply that will result from there continued use. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obsolescence
The abondonment of old dirty power would lead to an explosion of the green energy sector and that sector would be able to meet demand as it increases in size to fill it.
Why do something vastly more expensive and destructive then something else that will serve the same function in a much improved way?

What do Bush and the House Republicans have against Alternative Energy?

Question:

House shifts $16 billion toward renewable energy!
Republicans called it a “no-energy bill” because it lacks new drilling incentives, and they derided the new emphasis on renewables as “green pork.” The White House threatened to veto the bill on concerns that it could boost energy prices.

Didn’t Bush say that the USA is addicted to oil and needs to find alternate energy sources? Or was he just refering to ethanol?
